Equipment

  • Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 ounces pepperoni slices thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Set a large pot over moderate heat with the olive oil. Once hot, add in the sliced pepperoni and cook, stirring often, until crispy, about 5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the pepperoni onto a plate lined with paper towels.
  • Add the kernels to the pot and cover with a tight fitting lid. Cook over medium-low heat until more of the kernels have popped and the popping sound has mostly subsided, about 3 to 5 minutes. Keep shaking the pot every now and then.
  • Turn off the heat and remove the lid. Allow to cool slightly before adding in the seasonings, pepperoni and parmesan. Place the lid on and carefully shake it all up to evenly distribute. Serve immediately while still warm. Enjoy!
